Dennis, as you all know, is still recovering from his catastrophic fall last November. For the first time in eighteen years, he will not be conducting high holiday services. All of us who have experienced these services are deeply disappointed. No one did Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services like Dennis. They were simply the best — his explanations of the prayers, his sermons. We all knew it and felt it.
Although no one can replace Dennis, the Torah Minyan Synagogue will be offering high holiday services this year in the Dennis Prager style: same prayer book, same choir, same canter, the great Michael Freed. Dr. Stephen Marmer and I will deliver the sermons.

Dennis, Dr. Marmer, myself, and several others created the Torah Minyan back in 2017 and we haven’t missed a Shabbat service since. Many Torah Minyan members attended Dennis’s high holiday services.
The services will take place at the Bel-Air Presbyterian Church (same as last year). We’ve kept the fee as low as possible — $100 per person for Torah Minyan members; $250 for non-members. For Zoom participation, the above fee is per household. The fee covers all four services: RH Night, RH Day, Kol Nidre, YK day.
